Thomas Burris, PhD

Primary Academic Title

William Beaumont Professor and Chairman Department of Pharmacological and Physiological Science, Saint Louis University School of Medicine

Research Interest

Dr. Burris' laboratory focuses on development of novel compounds that target nuclear receptors for potential use in treatment of human diseases including cancer. Two areas of current focus are development of drugs that target: 1) metabolic pathways that are aberrantly regulated in cancer cells and 2) T cell deveopment (Th17 and Treg cells).
