Primary Academic Title

Professor of Anesthesiology, Washington University School of Medicine

Research Interest

We are interested in the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the development of the dorsal spinal cord. The dorsal spinal cord is a pivotal center for integrating and relaying pain-sensing signals from the periphery to the brain. Thus, our molecular and genetic studies may reveal potential sites of drug actions on central pain pathways and may aid in the new pharmacological strategies for cancer pain relief.
