Research Interest

Although I have had a clinical interest in the management of head and neck and lung cancers, my passion has focused on attempting to enhance the provision of high-quality value-based care while maintaining a patient focused and compassionate environment in which that care is administered. These efforts include minimizing financial toxicity, leveling health care inequities and optimizing the patient care experience. I worked to enhance the quality of the physician certification process in my work with the American Board of Internal Medicine, and at the practice level have overseen many of the American Society of Clinical Oncology quality initiatives, most recently the 2024 rewrite of antineoplastic therapy administration standards
