When it comes to your health and well being, staying informed should be a priority. Even if you don’t have any signs or symptoms, screenings can help save lives by catching diseases early, when they are most treatable.
Prostate Specific Antigen Screening (PSA)
The Prostate Cancer Community Partnership of the Program for the Elimination for Cancer Disparities (PECaD), at Siteman Cancer Center, offers free prostate specific antigen (PSA) screening for community members.
- Medical providers use the PSA test as a way to detect prostate cancer at its earliest, most curable stage. It is highly recommended for men ages 40 and older to have a PSA screening annually.
- A patient will be notified of his results within two weeks after screening.
The Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital
and Washington University School of Medicine is offering mammograms to women, ages 40 and over; mammograms are available at no cost to women who qualify.

Baseline Health Screenings
The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Community Health Mobile Van in partnership with BJC HealthCare
is offering free baseline health screenings. Screenings conducted on the Community Health Mobile Van include:
• Blood Pressure • Glucose • Cholesterol Must be at least 18 years of age to be screened.
