Postdoc Recruitment

Siteman Cancer Center and Washington University are recruiting new postdocs to join research labs in 2023.

Applicants

Applicants from backgrounds underrepresented in biomedical research are invited to submit an abstract to the Siteman Cancer Center Research Symposium in order to be considered for a postdoctoral position. Applicants from all areas of cancer-related research are invited to apply, including basic scientists, clinician-researchers, and public health scientists from all specialties.

Five selected applicants will be invited to visit Washington University from December 8-10, 2022, and give a podium presentation at the symposium. Symposium details are available at siteman.wustl.edu/cancerresearchsymposium.

To apply, please complete the online abstract submission form by Friday, September 23, 2022.

You will be asked for information on the project you plan to present as well as your desired area of research during your postdoctoral years. Applicants will be asked to identify which Siteman members they would like to work with during their postdoctoral appointment, if selected.

Travel Expenses

Travel expenses will be provided to applicants selected to present at our annual research symposium. Travel will include flights, food, and lodging for two nights. If you are unable to schedule flights for those dates or to find childcare for Saturday, we are happy to work with you so that your visit is not limited. Please contact scc.research.training@gowustl.onmicrosoft.com with any questions. A detailed itinerary will be provided in the weeks prior to the visit.

Final Candidates

Final candidates will be invited back to Washington University for a 2nd visit in early Spring 2023. Travel funds will also be provided for this visit.

Appointed Postdocs

Appointed postdocs will be matched with a Siteman lab, receive funds to offset relocation expenses, and will transition to one of our NCI-funded training programs during their second and third years at Washington University.
