Trust National Leaders with
Your Breast Health

Ranked #10 in the country and #1 in Missouri by U.S. News and World Report, Siteman Cancer Center knows that where you get your mammogram makes a difference.

Trust starts with a dedicated team of Washington University radiologists affiliated with the internationally recognized Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology.

At Siteman Cancer Center, every mammogram is read by an imaging expert with the skill, knowledge and experience only a national leader can deliver. Our radiologists are a part of a team of Washington University Physicians that includes sub-specialized breast health experts.

We offer six convenient locations and a mobile Mammography Van, making it easier than ever to take care of your breast health.

Schedule your annual mammogram starting at age 40. Make your breast health a priority – you’re worth it.

Mammography Van Locations

Our mobile mammography program is the longest running of its kind in the country. Our newest van, spanning 40 feet in length, is the fourth in three decades for Siteman Cancer Center.

When you get screened on our Mammography Van, your mammogram will be performed by a technician who specializes in mammography. Then, your scans will be viewed by expert radiologists who only read breast images.

The Mammography Van is also equipped with high-resolution 3D digital technology called tomosynthesis. This technology uses X-rays to create multiple images. A computer then digitally recreates the breast, allowing the radiologist to sift through the scans on a computer screen like pages in a book or on an iPad, seeing the breast one millimeter at a time. This technology has been shown not only to reduce false alarms, but also to help detect more breast cancers.

The Mammography Van is certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The fee will be billed to the patient, her insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid. Be sure to bring your insurance card to your appointment.
