Where You Go Matters

At the Siteman Cancer Center, we believe mammography screening should be available to every woman, everywhere.

To improve the convenience and availability of mammography, Siteman operates a mobile mammography van that offers screenings by appointment at various locations in the St. Louis area and beyond. Using state-of-the-art digital equipment that emits the lowest possible radiation dose, technologists obtain two-view mammograms. Each exam takes about 20 minutes, requiring very little time from a woman’s busy schedule. Results are reported to the patient and her physician within seven to 10 days.

Our mobile mammography program is the longest running of its kind in the country.  Our newest van, which spans 40 feet in length, is the fourth in three decades for Siteman Cancer Center.

On the Siteman Mammography van, your screening will be performed by a technician who specializes in mammography, and your scans will be viewed by expert radiologists. Experts in their field with the skill and experience to make a difference are available to you at Siteman.
