Research Interest

My research interests are focused on metastatic breast cancer with HER2 activating mutations and metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma with VHL mutations. Specifically, I study the genetic and epigenetic determinants for the drug response activity, the molecular mechanism of the metastasis and invasion process, and the regulation of tumor microenvironment interplay in the metastatic organs, especially the metastasis in the lung and the brain. Utilizing the multiple omics and novel mouse and tumor organoid models, I aim to comprehend the effects of drug resistance and sensitivity to figure out better therapy strategies and precision treatment for individual patients based on the plasticity and heterogeneity of the cancer types
