At the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center, the broad expertise and long-standing experience of our physicians and researchers come together to reduce the cancer burden both regionally and nationally. The result of a partnership between two institutions recognized for their medical excellence, Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine, Siteman Cancer Center is a leader in cancer treatment, research, prevention, education and community outreach.
Treatment and Research
Our specialized oncologists, surgeons, research scientists, nurses, radiologists and cancer professionals work together in multidisciplinary teams to decode both common and rare cancers while developing cutting-edge technologies that make treatment safer and more effective. Siteman Cancer Center also has the nation’s largest clinical research program; which offers innovative, therapeutic treatments for patients with cancers that were previously considered untreatable.
Each of Siteman’s Cancer Centers in the St. Louis metro area is staffed with the world class doctors, scientists and professionals who make sure their patients get the comprehensive care they need close to home, no matter where that is.
Prevention, Education and Community Outreach
Just as important as our commitment to the highest level of care for our patients and their families is our commitment to improving the health of the entire community. Siteman Cancer Center’s robust outreach programs are dedicated to researching and reducing cancer disparities, educating policymakers on how they can help lower the cancer burden and providing prevention resources and health screenings to the public.
At Siteman Cancer Center, our passion for science and service provides our patients, families and community a national leader in every phase of the cancer journey.
