The PECaD Health on the Move Community Van helps bring access to care near you. By bringing screenings and education out of hospitals and into communities, our community van is an accessible way for more people to seek out important care for their health.

The goal of this group is to empower and educate individuals while navigating and managing lung cancer.

LGBTQ+ Support Group

This 8-week group serves as a space dedicated to reducing disparities by empowering LGBTQ+ cancer patients and providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ patients to share and reflect on the ways in which they may promote health and resilience within their own lives as well as community. This group is not a mental health group but rather is educational and supportive in nature; weekly topics include:

  • discussion of identity,
  • body image,
  • affirmative care,
  • sexual health,
  • relationship and intimacy,
  • self-care, and
  • community-based resources
