Research Interest

Dr. Fritz's research interest focuses on improving disparities in luminal gastrointestinal(GI) cancers through health outcomes research and health equity educational initiatives for trainees. Dr. Fritz's T32 research fellowship, under the mentorship of Dr. Yin Cao, included an assessment of risk factors and signs & symptoms associated with early-onset colorectal cancer. Current projects are focused on colorectal cancer screening and surveillance, specifically within underserved patient populations in St. Louis. Dr. Fritz's long-term goals are to work to improve health outcomes in GI cancer prevention among historically marginalized racial/ethnic populations and high-risk populations.
