Primary Academic Title

Research Interest

Design of immune-based treatment for cancer, in particular breast and pancreas cancer. We currently focus on the design of tumor vaccines that induce T lymphocyte-mediated anti-tumor responses. At the same time, we try to better understand mechanisms of immune suppression in cancer patients with the goal to inhibit/overcome immune suppression. Our ultimate goal is to test a combination of vaccination and neutralization of immune suppression in cancer patients.
