Primary Academic Title

Dr. Robert J. Glaser Distinguished University Professor of Developmental Biology, Washington University School of Medicine

Research Interest

We have three projects related to cancer: a gnotobiotic transgenic mouse model to study the molecular features of gastric stem cells and the effect of attachment of Helicobacter pylori to these epithelial progenitors on gastric tumorigenesis; a transgenic mouse model of metastatic prostate cancer to examine initiation and progression of neuroendocrine cancers in general and CaP in particular; and biochemical, biophysical and genetic approaches and yeast as a model organism to study the regulation of protein N-myristoylation and its biological significance.
