Research Interest

My research interest is to optimize allo-HSCT for the treatment of hematopoietic malignancies. The therapeutic benefits of allo-HSCT derive from the GvL effect that is mediated by mature T cells present in the donor graft. Unfortunately, the same donor T cells can also cause GvHD, which remains a major barrier to the success of allo-HSCT. Thus, identification of molecular targets could be pivotal in developing therapeutics to eliminate GvHD while enhancing GvL.
