Primary Academic Title

Professor of Radiation Oncology, Division of Radiation and Cancer Biology, Washington University School of Medicine

Research Interest

My research focuses on molecular imaging and targeted radiotherapy. Utilization of radioactive peptides that bind to tumor-selective receptors has advantages for both of these applications. My group has evaluated peptides that bind to the G-coupled protein receptors, gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) and somatostatin receptor subtype 2 (SSTR2). We have also used somatostatin analogues to image SSTR2 after gene transfer with adenoviral vector encoding for SSTR2 (AdSSTR2).
