Research Interest

Dr. David Russler-Germain, MD/PhD is a physician-scientist with a focus on B-cell lymphomas. In the clinic, he treats patients with lymphoma and related blood cancers. He leads clinical trials exploring the use of novel immunotherapies for the treatment of indolent and aggressive lymphomas, as well as studies of new blood-based prognostic biomarkers. In the laboratory, he uses mouse models to study how follicular lymphoma originates and can transform into the aggressive disease diffuse large B cell lymphoma. He also conducts genomic profiling studies using patient tumor samples, and is exploring circulating tumor DNA sequencing as a method to risk-stratify patients and measure response to therapy.
