Making the Case for Clinical Trials at All Stages of Treatment

All Podcasts

When monitoring Byron after his prostate cancer surgery, doctors noted his rising PSA levels and recommended an open clinical trial. He and his wife asked a lot of questions and were convinced the trial was a good next step. Byron shares his experience as a participant in the 6-month trial along with his physician, Washington University radiation oncologist Lannis Hall, MD.

From upsides, to side effects, Byron and Hall use his personal story to illustrate why access to clinical trials is a huge benefit for patients with cancer and how the research each trial establishes changes our understanding of the disease and drives how cancers are cured.
