Siteman Cancer Center Selling Holiday Cards to Help Patients in Need

|

To help celebrate the upcoming holiday season, Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine is offering holiday greeting cards featuring two winter photographs. The cards come in a boxed set of 10 for $10. Funds raised benefit patients in financial need at the Joanne Knight Breast Health Center.

Each card features a photo by St. Louis-area photographer Karen Kotner, whose work also hangs in the breast health center at Siteman.

Inside each card is the message, “Best wishes for a Happy Holiday Season and a Healthy New Year.”

Every artist aims to influence others. Kotner said she’s pleased her work also helps patients.

“I am thrilled that my art has had such an impact, both visually and emotionally, and that the sale of these cards can help those who might otherwise not be able to afford mammography and other important medical tests,” she said.

The holiday cards can be purchased at the Barnard Health and Cancer Information Center in the lobby of the Center for Advanced Medicine on Siteman’s main campus, 4921 Parkview Place, St. Louis, or by calling 314-362-7844. Shipping is available for an extra charge.
