Russell Pachynski, MD

Medical Oncologist

Primary Academic Title

Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology, Director of GU Oncology Research, Washington University School of Medicine

Clinical Expertise

As a member of our kidney, bladder and prostate cancer specialist teams, Dr. Pachynski cares for patients diagnosed with these cancers through treatment and recovery.

Research Interest

My clinical specialty is genitourinary cancers, with a focus on prostate cancer. I also maintain an active lab focusing on leukocyte trafficking and its role in tumor immunology, with the ultimate goal of advantageously controlling this for patients’ benefits. I hope to advance translational immunotherapy and be able to bring novel therapies from the bench to the bedside, and back again.
