From misdiagnosis elsewhere to survivorship at Siteman

Jan. 27, 2014 – Erica Griffin found survivorship at Siteman Cancer Center because of the research-driven care she received. Griffin was correctly diagnosed with stage III breast cancer after initially being told by her physician that a lump in her breast was likely a cyst. Griffin says the news rocked her to her core. After her diagnosis, she came to the Siteman Cancer Center where she says surgeon Julie Margenthaler, MD, gave her peace of mind. Griffin is five years out from her original diagnosis and is very optimistic about her future.
