Triathlete Teri Griege conquers cancer and the Ironman

Dec. 3, 2014 – Teri Griege was training for her second Ironman when she noticed some bleeding. This symptom ended up leading to a stage 4 colorectal cancer diagnosis.

Griege was able to receive radiation and chemotherapy at the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital, as well as meet with her oncologist and colorectal surgeon.

The expertise and convenience at our west St. Louis County campus has allowed Griege to continue doing what she loves – endurance racing.
