Washington University scientists at Siteman Cancer Center named to influential researchers list

Nine research members of Siteman Cancer Center were named to Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers list of 2021. The nine, who are faculty members of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, demonstrate significant research influence among their peers, according to Clarivate, a scientific and academic research analytics company.

Those named to the international list produced multiple papers that ranked in the top 1% by citations for their field and year of publication.

“It’s clear Siteman’s impact is felt regionally but also globally,” said Nick Fisher, MBA, executive director of research and business administration at Siteman. “Our team of accomplished investigators have pioneered important advances in cancer research, prevention, education and treatment. Congratulations to our valued faculty members who have been recognized. All are exceptional leaders dedicated to developing the most innovative therapies for patients.”

Washington University researchers at Siteman who were named to the list include:

• Max Artymov, PhD, associate professor of pathology and immunology
• Marco Colonna, MD, professor of pathology and immunology
• Gautam Dantas, PhD, professor of pathology and immunology
• Li Ding, PhD, professor of medicine
• John DiPersio, MD, PhD, the Virginia E. and Samuel J. Golman Endowed Professor in Medicine, chief of the Division of Oncology and deputy director of Siteman
• Ramaswamy Govindan, MD, professor of medicine and the Anheuser-Busch Endowed Chair in Medical Oncology
• Kenneth Murphy, MD, PhD, professor of pathology and immunology
• Gwendalyn Randolph, PhD, the Emil R. Unanue Professor of Pathology and Immunology
• Robert Schreiber, PhD, the Andrew M. and Jane M. Bursky Distinguished Professor of Immunobiology
